So this past weekend was prom for me and I took this lovely girl as my date. At first I only asked her because her friends said she needed a date and I felt like being a nice guy. But from the moment I picked her up ,to the end of the night, I experienced crushing affection for her. I haven’t felt that in a long time. Now that prom is over all I can think about is taking her out again, and it depresses me when I realize that I’ll be gone all summer and I may not get a chance to get something serious started. I don’t want to lose this girl, at least without giving it my best shot. Hopefully this weekend she’ll go see Gatsby with me and I can let her know how I feel.
